FAQs
About Decora
-
A: Decora is a B2B interior design platform that connects clients with vetted interior designers and trusted suppliers. We facilitate curated introductions to help streamline sourcing, design collaboration, and project coordination — all in one place. Designers and suppliers apply to join, and clients are matched based on style, budget, and project goals.
-
A: Decora isn’t just a listing site — we build real relationships. Every designer and supplier is vetted for quality, professionalism, and fit. Our goal is to simplify the creative process while supporting business growth for everyone involved.
For Clients
-
A: Once you submit your project brief, we’ll review your goals, aesthetic, and budget to recommend a designer from our network. You’ll then be introduced directly to take things forward.
-
A: We ask that all communication and transactions stay within the Decora network to protect the value we provide and ensure everyone is supported fairly. It also helps us offer a smoother experience and resolve issues if needed.
-
A: No. You will pay the designer or supplier you choose to work with directly. Decora simply facilitates the introduction and helps guide the process where needed.
For Interior Designers
-
A: No — there’s no upfront fee to join. Decora earns a commission on successful projects facilitated through the platform, based on the total project value. We’ve designed it this way to keep things low-risk and fair — you only pay when you win work, and it reflects the full scope of value we help create.
-
A: Our commission reflects the full value of the project secured through Decora — not just the design fee. From design to procurement and styling, we help bring in serious opportunities, and our model ensures we only succeed when you do.
-
A: Until our full platform is live, we ask all designers to upload a copy of the supplier invoice and fill out our brief tracking form for each client order placed. This helps us monitor commissions, keep records accurate, and ensure timely payments.
-
A: Absolutely. You’re free to work with suppliers you trust. However, if a Decora-verified supplier is used, our commission model applies to maintain fairness.
-
A: No. Designers are not permitted to add an additional commission on supplier orders that originate through Decora. This ensures a fair and transparent experience across the network. Everyone who joins agrees to this policy to protect integrity and build trust.
-
A: We operate on good faith. If repeated bypassing occurs, we may remove the individual or company from the network. Maintaining trust and transparency is key to our shared success.
For Suppliers
-
A: Yes. While we facilitate introductions, suppliers have full control over who they choose to collaborate with and how they price their products.
-
A: Decora operates on a commission-based model for supplier orders that originate through the platform. This helps fund marketing, project matchmaking, and the continued growth of our trusted network. Specific terms are shared during the onboarding process.
-
A: While our automated platform is being developed, all payments will be manually tracked. You’ll need to upload a copy of your invoice and fill out our short payment tracking form (link provided after confirmation of order). This ensures we process your payment and commission split accurately.
-
A: No — at this stage, we focus on curated introductions rather than full catalogue listings. We work with each supplier to highlight key products that align with designer needs. In the future, we plan to offer product visibility on the platform to further support supplier exposure.
